The Norman Howard School is a small community that leads to big results in student success. The individualized learning environment is unlike anything else I have observed in schools; it is something truly special.
Mr. Durr came to The Norman Howard School during the 2017-2018 school year. In his time at NHS, he has worked with various grade levels in Science, Math, English, Social Studies, and Music. In 2023, he became NHS's Music Teacher. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and a Master’s Degree in Sound Design for Visual Media from Academy of Art University.
Outside of NHS, Mr. Durr teaches private instrumental lessons, composes music for Kendor Publishing, Inc., and performs for local theaters and in various rock and jazz groups.
