Welcome!  A strong parent-teacher partnership is essential to our program at The Norman Howard School. Research shows that the quality of a school improves when parents are involved.

When to contact your child's Advisor

Your child NHS has a Faculty Advisor who is the main point of contact between home & school.  We encourage you to use the Faculty-Staff Directory to contact your child's advisor if you have any concerns, questions, or just want an update on progress.

If you wonder about course-specific issues such as homework, test results, classroom expectations, or behavior, your child's classroom teacher is who can best respond.

Daily homework assignments are posted under your student's teacher’s personalized Google Classroom page. Other areas of the website such as the school calendar and our blog will enable you to stay current with what is happening at NHS.

Do you have questions on the Dress Code Policy, cell phone guidelines, other rules and guidelines? Our Handbook is a resource for both students and parents to consult. This is a link to the Code of Conduct.

Join the NHS Parent Association!

Parents are invited to join the NHS Parent Association (PA). The PA meets during the school year to plan social events, fundraisers and the annual faculty appreciation lunch.

The meetings are informal and all are welcome!

Please contact Julie Murray at jmurray@normanhoward.org to get involved.
