The parent of a former student summed it up best in her poem, A Norman Howard Kid:
You gave my son a place to succeed, a place to belong; you helped to make him smart, brave and strong. I will never be able to express my gratitude for all you did, when you let my son be a Norman Howard Kid

Ms. Rader has been teaching at The Norman Howard School since 2001, and before taught at The Forman School in Litchfield , CT and at the Kent School Summer Writers Camp. Here she teaches 8th grade writing and ELA and a Senior Writing course and is the Middle School English Department Chair. Before becoming a teacher, Ms. Rader worked as a journalist in New York and Connecticut.

She enjoys literature, photography and the visual arts. She grew up in Bloomfield, NY and now lives in Clifton Springs.
