Being honored with Channel 8 News' Golden Apple Award was a surprise to Ms. King, but it came as little surprise to the students, families, and colleagues who experience her compassionate support every day.
The Eggers family nominated Ms. King sharing,“She has dedicated her life work to working with kids who are essentially ‘square pegs’ that just don’t fit into round holes. She meets them where they are, she raises the bar and she teaches them how to navigate math. Not just algebra, but math in LIFE.”
